What are the main models and components of 2CV wings?
There are two main generations of front wings: the so-called "old model" wings that were fitted to all vehicles produced up to 1966, and then to some of the vehicles produced between 1966 and 1970, before disappearing for good that year with the arrival of the 2CV 4 and 6. This generation of "old model" wings concerns mainly the early 2CVs, most of which had no front indicators or only small rectangular indicators for models intended for export in the late 1960s, such as the AZAM Export in 1967.
Later, the cars were fitted with round indicators directly into the front wings. These correspond to the second generation, the so-called "new model" wings, and have a characteristic round hole for this purpose.
These two generations of front wings are complemented by a valance panel for all models built from 1960 onwards. This part was created following the corrugated
bonnet being discontinued in that year, which until then covered the sides of the engine compartment and therefore did not require a valance panel to make the "coupling" between bonnet and wing.
As far as the rear wings are concerned, they have changed little or not at all for the 2CV saloon and our original parts are suitable for all configurations.
The vans on the other hand have a completely specific rear wing layout compared to the saloon cars, these being composed of an assembly of complementary parts: the rear right and
left wings themselves, but also the inner bumper supports, several inner wing panels, other panels and wheel arches. These parts can be different depending on the 2CV van model (AZU, AK250, AK 350, AK 400 or AKS 400).
