Which Neiman 2CV anti-theft device should I choose?

There are 3 models of Neiman 2CV anti-theft locks available: the original steering lock (ref. 1005010), the original quality polished aluminium lock (ref. 1005029), which are exclusive to the 2CV Méhari Club Cassis, and the Burton brand Neiman steering lock (ref. 1005044), which is the most economical model. The latter comes with a mounted 2CV contactor. All our locks come with two ignition keys.
This is the contactor that energises the electrical circuit when the key is turned to the start position in the Neiman 2CV. Also manufactured in our Cassis workshops using original Citroën tools, the anti-theft starter switch has 3 connections: the first to the starter solenoid to control its launch, the second to the positive terminal of the battery and the last to the vehicle wiring harness to supply it with positive current.

How do I fit a Neiman 2CV anti-theft device?

Before installing your 2CV steering column lock on your car's steering column and connecting it to the anti-theft starter switch, we recommend that you consult our technical diagram, which lists the references of all the parts concerned and shows the direction in which they should be fitted. These include the mounting flanges for the Neiman 2CV, the mounting flange nuts, the steering lock mounting plate, the steering column locking ring and the protective flap for the 2CV steering lock.

Additional accessories for starting or securing your 2CV?

If your 2CV is not fitted with a Neiman steering lock, we advise you to use the key-operated starter switch (ref. 1101900) which is specifically designed for 2CVs built before April 1967. It has two connection terminals and comes with two ignition keys. Our shop also offers a 12V key-operated circuit-breaker (ref. 1101910) which allows you to disconnect your 2CV's battery at any time without removing the terminals. This circuit-breaker prevents the battery from discharging during long stops and also acts as an anti-theft device. If you don't want to have to disconnect the battery during the winter, you can fit our battery fuse terminal. Very easy to install, it fits directly onto the negative terminal of the battery.
