The range thus includes one model for 2CVs having a 6V electrical circuit, for 375 ou 425 cc bore vehicles, and 3 models for 12V cars and vans.
The advantages of an electronic ignition on a 2CV
An electronic ignition system is often recommended for older vehicles, because startup is considerably easier. An electronic ignition also provides more-constant performances and greatly reduces upkeep in relation to a conventional ignition, with which the wear and deregulation of the contact breaker often gives rise to a loss of efficiency and necessitates regular mechanical maintenance. But an electronic ignition operates without any contacts, and so its performance is stable over time. It enables a more-precise management of the ignition point, the power supplied to the coil, and the advance. So no more replacements of contact screws, no more excessive fuel consumption, and no more difficulty starting your car or van in wet weather. For the most-demanding 2CV owners, we also carry a racing model that is particularly recommended for intensive use - notably for motor sport rallies and competitions. This electronic 2CV ignition enables you to choose between 16 timing curves pre-programmed for the different types of engine (435 or 602 cc) or engine tunings. It, too, is guaranteed 3 years, and it comes with an advance control together with a design that promotes easy engine starting even with a weakly-charged battery. How to fit a 2CV electronic ignition?

For optimal performance, note that it is recommended to install the 12V dry coil in accompaniment to a 12V 2CV electronic ignition.
