Have you just bought a second-hand 2CV? Have you just inherited a car that's ‘out of the barn’, or does your little Citroën simply need a serious facelift? Then it's time to think about renovating it...
How do you renovate a 2CV?
If you're not much of a DIY enthusiast and don't want to tackle the restoration of your 2CV, Mehari or Dyane yourself, you can leave it to our teams. To do so, contact our Sales Department on + 33 4 42 01 97 13 or by e-mail (service-occasions@mehariclub.com). You can even request a renovation quote online here.
Do you like mechanics, or have you decided to take it up? Are you embarking on this magnificent project on your own or with the help of family and friends? Don't hesitate for a minute, because the 2CV and its derivative models are mechanically simple cars that offer everyone the possibility to tinker with them according to their desires, their knowledge or their means, but always with a lot of pleasure. That's why we offer you the widest range of reconditioned and spare parts on the market, whether you're a fussy collector looking for original parts or a more pragmatic owner looking for the best value for money.
Our technical website (available in French only) , also contains a wealth of information sheets, tutorial videos and other information to help you choose the parts best suited to your car, and to help you install and remove your parts, whether you're renovating the upholstery, chassis, bodywork or other parts of your vehicle. Watch this video for an example of a 2CV renovation carried out by one of our customers.

How do I paint a Mehari or a 2CV, and what colour should I choose?
If your refurbishment simply involves repainting, don't hesitate to entrust it to a professional, as it's a highly technical operation requiring specific know-how and equipment. Here too, you can turn to our network of experts, or even directly to our Paint Department, which will be able to offer you historic colours and decorations, as well as fully personalised paintwork or customisation of your car on request.
What colour should I use to renovate a 2CV or a Mehari?
While the Mehari has only had a dozen or so colours throughout its history, with bodywork tinted throughout and sometimes with an additional coat of paint, the colours of 2CVs have changed considerably depending on the vintage and the different limited editions that have appeared over time. You can find our colour chart showing all the 2CV colours on our technical website (in French). It will help you make the right choice for restoring your paintwork.
